so we did a lab and our lab was to take this elodea plant which is an underwater plant can we decided to see if what was necessary in order for a plant to do photosynthesis and so yesterday we spoke about how in front of synthesis you need sunlight you need water and carbon dioxide and you get oxygen and glucose or actually testing the amount of oxygen the way we did it is we decided we would take a beaker the students Design This and put the plant inside this funnels that it's completely trapped inside and an ape a test to filled with water with no bubbles with lever and we put one under the light so you can see here that it is still the completely with happen to that point I'm so this one has filled with oxygen and each of these as oxygen building up inside of this container so these plants are producing oxygen and we decided we will put one some in the dark to see if light was actually necessary so we're going to go ahead and into this I'll take a look and we will see food areas only AT&T Mobile on the top Pete's is it okay there's only a tiny little bubble on the top of this and if you look on it there's really no bubbles on the plant at all what planet is just under here and there's a few bubbles in one teeny tiny one on the top so we're analyzing this please resume again let me show you two other one did you look at the sun again we can see if there's lots of bubbles in there it's a lot of oxygen building up and it has collected quite a bit of oxygen on the top so what is the conclusion it is light necessary for photosynthesis is it necessary to produce glucose and oxygen
