RECREATION CLASSES AT ROWLAND RECREATION
Saturday Registration Dates Sept. 14 and 21
ROWLAND HEIGHTS, CA – SEPTEMBER 3, 2013 – Looking for activities for your children or the family that are affordable and fun? Registration is now taking place for the Rowland Recreation Department Fall Classes. Special Saturday Registration hours are held on September 14 and September 21 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Exciting new classes are offered including: Latin Percussion ages 6 years to adults. Students will learn the congas, timbales, bongos and other hand percussions. Math & Logic for grades Kindergartners-1st and 2nd grade to 6th. The program will help students gain self-confidence, problem-solving skills and develop independent logical thinking skills. Also offered are One day etiquette workshops, Youth Etiquette and Life skills for Teens.
There is a class for everyone: Sports (Basketball/Soccer/Tennis/Ice Skating for the Whole Family, Swimming /Water Polo/Martial Arts) Dance (Baby Ballet, Hip Hop and Cheer) and Specialty Classes (Computer Skills & Graphic Design, Increasing Writing and Math Skills/PSAT Prep, AP Biology, Algebra and Geometry Studies). The community can take advantage of Dog Obedience classes and Puppy Kindergarten.
The Rowland Adult & Community Education Recreation Department is located at 2100 Lerona Avenue in Rowland Heights, next door to Killian Elementary School.
