RUSD Board Shares Timeline for Superintendent Search: Town Hall Meetings Set for May 12 & 14

ROWLAND HEIGHTS, CA – APRIL 28, 2014 – The Rowland Unified School District Board of Education held a special meeting on April 24, 2014 in an open session to discuss the Superintendent Search process and timeline. The executive search firm Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA & Associates) were directed to conduct a national search for a new superintendent and the input process and calendar was finalized.

            Community input appointment meetings will be held on Monday, May 12 and Wednesday, May 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Rowland Unified School District Office, located at 1830 S. Nogales Street in Rowland Heights. HYA & Associates will be at the District Office all day to meet with various organizations and stakeholders. Appointments to speak with the search firm consultants may be made by contacting the Superintendent’s Office at (626)854-8304. Community Town Hall Meetings will be held at two locations: On Monday, May 12 at 6 p.m. at Telesis Academy, located at 2800 E. Hollingworth Street in West Covina; and on Wednesday, May 14 at Alvarado Intermediate, located at 1901 S. Desire Avenue in Rowland Heights. Community members may share with the search firm the strengths and challenges of RUSD, and the desired characteristics for the Superintendent.
