The Giano football team, lead by Coach Torres, triumphed over the Ybarra Bears on Mondays game. With both Giano and Ybarra coming into Mondays game with a 2-0 record for this season, this game was be sure to be a battle of the best. From the first whistle blow, both teams fought for control of the game and at half time with a score of Giano,18 Ybarra, 14 it really was anyone's game. The play of the day came with ten seconds to go until the end of the game when Ybarra lined up in a heavy gun flex formation. Giano wide receiver, Jesse Rios, was given a pass which he then ran 80 yards for the game winning touchdown bringing the final score to Giano, 40 Ybarra , 35. Way to go GLADIATORS!!
