Exploring the Future in Our STEM Career Lab

At Giano Intermediate School, we are committed to preparing students for the future—starting now. One of the exciting ways we do this is through our STEM Career Lab, a hands-on, student-centered program designed to spark curiosity, build skills, and introduce students to real-world careers in science, technology, engineering, and math.

In the STEM Career Lab, students engage in self-paced, hands-on lessons that allow them to take ownership of their learning while working collaboratively with peers. Through interactive projects and problem-solving challenges, students explore up to 18 different career fields—from robotics and engineering to health sciences, digital media, and beyond.

This innovative lab experience not only builds critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills, but also helps students discover their interests and passions. By exploring career pathways early, students are better prepared to select high school courses and academies that align with their future goals.

Our STEM Career Lab is more than just a class—it’s a launchpad for college, career, and life readiness, helping our Gladiators take their first steps toward inspired and impactful futures.
