Empowering Voices Through Student Leadership

At Giano Intermediate School, we believe that every student has the potential to lead, inspire, and make a difference. Our Student Leadership class is designed to cultivate those qualities by giving students the tools, opportunities, and confidence to become positive influencers on campus and beyond.

In this dynamic, project-based class, students learn the foundations of effective leadership—communication, teamwork, organization, and problem-solving—through real-world applications. They take an active role in shaping our school culture by planning events, promoting school spirit, organizing community service projects, and representing the student voice.

Leadership students work collaboratively, often serving as role models and mentors to their peers. They help foster an inclusive, respectful, and engaging school environment while learning the value of responsibility and civic engagement.

By participating in Student Leadership, students gain lifelong skills that prepare them for high school leadership roles, extracurricular involvement, and future careers. Most importantly, they learn that leadership isn’t about a title—it’s about making a positive impact.
